In recent years, the concept of living green has become a major factor in many of our every day activities. This idea seems to be of such high importance, it has even reached the political arena, with much of the recent presidential debates focusing on everything that is ‘green’. Living green is essentially just living effectively and being considerate of yourself, as well as those around you. By taking a look at your daily input and output of resources, you can determine if you are indeed living ‘green’.
Seeking out products that are all-natural, organic, or recycled are excellent ways to being helping the environment. Equally as important as searching for eco-friendly goods is the amount of output you and your family, friends, and co-workers produce daily. There are several easy, yet effective ways to help decrease your daily output. Using recycling bins, for paper, plastic, or aluminum is a popular way to start. A compost bin, rain barrels, local scrap metal dealers, and walking, biking, or car pooling are also great ways to begin your new environmentally friendly lifestyle. (more..)
